AFTER THE TREATMENT GENTLY DAB THE PIGMENTED AREA WITH THE STERILE WIPES PROVIDED, DO THIS EVERY 30 MINUTES UNTIL RESIDUE/OILS SUBSIDE.
-
AFTER 24 HOURS APPLY THE AFTERCARE CREAM TWICE A DAY, ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE IN THE EVENING. ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT, TO ALLOW THE SKIN TO BREATHE.
-
AFTERWARDS KEEP YOUR BROWS DRY AND AVOID GETTING WATER ON THEM FOR ATLEAST 10 DAYS.
For up to two weeks after your appointment, the procedure area may experience the following symptoms:
• Flaking
• Tenderness
• Dryness and itching
• Swelling
• Redness
•The colour of the eyebrows gets much darker as the pigmented area will scab over. This is completely normal and is part of the healing process. DO NOT pick, scratch, wash or remove the scab as you may remove the pigment along with the scab. When scabs fall off, the colour of the pigment will look very light, but will resurface in 3 weeks time, this is normal.
PLEASE AVOID
-
Touching your brows to reduce risk of infection
-
Rubbing scratching or picking at the pigmented areas
-
Swimming, jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms
-
Any activities which cause excessive sweating
-
Any products on the pigmented area including cleansers, moisturisers and make up
-
Hot steamy showers for long periods of time
-
Be careful when washing your hair, to prevent soap or water getting into pigmented area
-
Direct sunlight and sunbeds
Do not be alarmed by any fading after the first application. The final colour cannot be judged until at least 4 weeks after the touch up applications are completed. This is the reason follow-ups are required.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Your skin needs to repair itself so the excess pigment particles that are sat on the surface dry up and form a crust along with skin cells (depending on the skin type some clients hardly notice the crust whilst others have a definite scab).
This will come away gradually over the next week to 10 days, sometimes a little longer. It can sometimes looks like hardly any pigment has held, THIS IS NORMAL.
It’s almost like the skin has formed a milky opaque layer over the pigment as a protection to the newly regenerated skin cells. The colour WILL resurface over the following 4 weeks and so it’s far too early to worry or judge the results only a week after the treatment.
Also, we have to be honest and make clear the realistic expectations of a permanent makeup treatment. Natural mineral based pigment is inserted very shallow into the skin so it heals like a skin TINT. It can NEVER be as dark or as vibrant or give the same coverage as conventional makeup regardless of the pigment choice. Makeup gives a camouflage effect to the skin, pigment blends with the natural skin tone.
